Satin is commonly used in apparel such as satin baseball jackets, athletic shorts, women's lingerie, evening gowns, and blouses, but can also be used in men's boxer shorts, shirts and neckties. Satin fabrics are also great for interior furnishing, upholstery and bed sheets. Satin fabrics are luxurious materials that are woven from slightly twisted yarns and then run through hot cylinders. This creates finished fabrics that are shiny on one side and dull on the other.
