Wool socks are the best way to keep your feet warm and dry while in rain and snow and are necessary if you are active throughout the cold winter. Dale of Norway's Cortina socks are comfy, attractive, and offer the moisture-wicking properties of wool.
75% Merino Wood and Blend
These unisex wool socks are 75% Merino wool knit, 15% nylon, 7% polyester, 3% elastane. This is because the high wool content grants moisture absorption and warmth, and the nylon adds good shape retention and durable properties – creating the perfect socks for an active lifestyle.
The Style
The pattern design is lifted directly from our original 1956 Cortina sweater – our first ever Olympic sweater made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Cortina pattern captures the very essence of Norwegian tradition and has become one of Norway's most beloved patterns.
Caring for Wool Our top tip is to wash wool less frequently, which is fine since it is naturally odor and dirt-resistant. You can refresh wool garments simply by hanging in the fresh air. Remove stains by water, with a damp cloth, or by rinsing. It's vital to wash your woolen garments correctly, so check the washing instructions first. Note: some of our wool garments need to be hand washed.
World Championship Sweaters
Dale of Norway has made official sweaters for the national Norwegian Ski Federation for every Winter Olympics and World Ski Championships since 1956. Since this time, our Norwegian sweaters and cardigans have become iconic collector's items and gorgeous holiday gifts..
