Tips for installation:
To ensure the stopper is installed at the right position, here are some tips.
- Open the door to the position you intend on using the stopper the most. This ensures you account for different floor material/height.
- Put the stopper in the stopping position (in the down position).
- Put the stopper against the door and slide it down until the foot hits the floor.
- Mark your holes.
- Drill about 1/16-1/8 BELOW the center of the hole. This ensures when the stopper comes down, it can get a good bite against the floor. If you have carpet, depending on the thickness, make sure to account for the thickness of carpet. You might have to go a little farther down, but that depends on how much pressure you used earlier when you slid the stopper down into the carpet before you did the marking.
