This is the original handmade magnetic bobbin holder designed for metal bobbins. It hasn't been available since 1998. So many sewists prefer this old fashioned beautiful wooden holder specifically for metal bobbins that we have brought it back. This trough shaped rack has a magnetic strip much like a magnetic knife rack that holds the bobbins on their edges. It is particularly handy for handling multiple thread colors for a current sewing project since thread can be unwound while the bobbin stays trapped on the holder. It is also possible to wind embroidery threads onto bobbins for use in hand embroidery projects, thus keeping the threads orderly and untangled.
