About Converse
Converse was founded in the USA in 1908. After the brand produced winter shoes in the first few years, the now legendary basketball shoe "Converse All Star" was launched in 1917. Short time later, the then famous basketball player Chuck Taylor became the name godfather of the new shoes, creating the present name "Chucks". Countless trainer models have now developed Converse. The classic "Chuck Taylor All Stars" are among the most successful shoes ever, with over 600 million pairs sold.
