The Robert Sorby TurnMaster is a premium quality modular turning tool that accepts a variety of interchangeable cutters, allowing you to use a single tool for a wide variety of turning projects. The TurnMaster's solid 3/4" steel shank is flattened on the bottom for stability, and the patented TurnMaster head can be rotated to three indexed positions: centered for shaping, and left and right shear for finishing. TurnMaster turning tools are sold with your choice of round, square or detail point cutters in carbide, or a pack of all three in high speed steel. Each tool ships with Robert Sorby's trademark ash handle installed with a brass collar. If you wish to turn your own handle, TurnMaster Shanks are available separately (e.g. 45649, sold separately).
