Practical function:
The water solenoid use a electronic pulse controller to regulate the water supply to the unit, when the humidistat calls for humudity, the solenoid valve will open to disperse water over the entire pad.

How to install:
1.Before installation, disconnect all power to your humidifier and shut off the water supply to the unit.
2.Unclip the wires from the solenoid then use the adjustable wrench to unscrew the compression nuts and remove the distributor tube, then disconnect the water supply.
3.Let any remaining water drain into the plastic container.
4.Remove the thumbscrews then discard the old solenoid.
5.Align the solenoid and then tighten the thumbscrews, then connect the water supply line.
6.Replace the distributor tube and tighten the compression nut, then connect the wires to the solenoid.
7.Turn on the supply and check for any leaks, finally, reconnect the power.
