This harness also features an in-line head-unit connector harness, which will plug into their new "Head-unit direct" harnesses for select radio brands, which eliminate the need to splice any wires. If you're installing a radio that doesn't work with a "Head-unit direct" harness, you simply cut off the plug and connect the wires to the harness included with your new radio.
This iDatalink Maestro ADS-HRN-HRR-GM5 harness from iDatalink allows you to connect a new car stereo in compatible 2006-up GM vehicles, working in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro module. Once connected, you'll retain the use of your steering wheel audio controls, your factory amp, and your safety warning chimes, along with OnStar and factory Bluetooth, if present.
The package includes connectors that plug in between the Maestro module, your compatible GM radio's wiring plugs, and your new car stereo. The harness now includes the option of speaker-level outputs to your amp via included plug-in adapters. You'll have to solder or splice together this harness's power/ground, illumination, speaker, and navigation output wires to the corresponding wires on your aftermarket receiver's wiring harness. The package also includes a plug-in remote speaker which reproduces all factory warning chimes and turn signal clicks.
Maestro RR and RR2 compatible radio replacement harness for select 2006+ compatible GM vehicles . The radio side of the harness terminates in a universal connector that can be used in conjunction with available Maestro Head unit adapters for a plug n play solution or removed for conventional connections.
Installation note: The HRN-HRR-GM5 adapter must be used with the iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module to connect a new car stereo to your vehicle.
