Overview
The Modbus RTU PWM Input 8CH is an industrial isolated RS485 PWM input module designed for acquiring PWM pulse parameters in automation systems. Using the standard Modbus RTU protocol
over a wired RS485 interface, it allows a host controller (PLC, industrial PC, or gateway) to read PWM frequency and duty cycle from multiple channels in a distributed installation.
This 8-channel PWM pulse detector supports PWM frequency measurement and duty cycle acquisition with high-speed detection capability. Each PWM input is protected with high-speed optocoupler
isolation, helping improve reliability and anti-interference performance in electrically noisy environments.
For power and wiring flexibility, the module includes an onboard regulator supporting a wide 7–36V DC input range. It also integrates unibody power supply isolation and magnetical isolation to provide
stable isolated voltage and robust signal isolation without requiring an additional isolated power source for the isolated terminal.
To enhance durability in field applications, the board adds comprehensive protection circuits, including a resettable fuse and TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) to reduce risk from surge voltage and
transient spikes. An onboard watchdog helps maintain stable operation. The compact DIN rail mount enclosure supports stacking combinations for control cabinets, and 3 LEDs indicate MCU status and
RS485 transceive status for easier on-site diagnostics.
