Constructed from carbon steel, black oxide finish, higher corrosion resistance and anti-rust effect than ordinary nuts, longer service life, not easy to damage, more solid
Self-locking serrated flange digs into the material being fastened to help prevent loosening, easy installation and provide mild vibration resistance
M8-1.25 Hex Nuts: Standard hex nuts screw onto male-threaded parts in non-locking applications; Compatible with most kinds of hand tool torque wrench or air ratchet
M8 Replacement Nuts: Widely used in home and construction, fully threaded nuts are often used in the general assembly of components, more suitable for furniture assembly automotive repair
【Description】
A flange nut is a nut that has a wide flange at one end that acts as an integrated, non-spinning washer. This serves to distribute the pressure of the nut over the part being secured, reducing the chance of breaking to the part and making it less likely to loosen as a result of an uneven fastening surface.
The flange may be serrated to provide a locking action. The serrations are angled such that they keep the nut from rotating in the direction that would loosen the nut. Because of the serrations, they cannot be used with a washer or on surfaces that cannot be scratched. The serrations help in avoiding the vibration of the nut and increase the holding power of the nut.
