The Estes 7320 Laser X2 model-rocket-building kit is an ode to retro sci-fi-style model rocketry with a reimagining of the iconic 1960s Laser X model by legendary designer Lee Piester. Designed for adults and kids ages 10+ (supervision recommended for ages under 12), this advanced rocket model is built for performance with a sleek boat tail design, precision laser-cut balsa fins, a blow-molded nose cone, and precision-engineered parts to ensure both authenticity and durability in a futuristic styling. Launch it on a C5-3 or C6-3 Estes model-rocket engine (sold separately) and watch as it soars up to 450 ft. (137 m) before deploying a 15-inch parachute for a smooth recovery.
Perfect for families, friends, hobbyists, or aspiring rocketeers, the 7320 Laser X2 rocket kit offers hands-on experience in engineering and aerospace. After an estimated assembly time of 2+ hours (not including glue and paint drying time), this rocket will be ready for proud display or launch prep.
To build and launch this rocket, you will need a hobby knife, fine sandpaper, a sanding block, scissors, plastic glue, yellow glue, clear tape, masking tape, a ruler, a soft lead pencil, wax paper, white primer, paint, clear coat (optional), a Porta-Pad II Launch Pad, an Electron Beam Launch Controller, compatible Estes model-rocket engines, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and any extra materials listed in the directions (sold separately). Always follow the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code during operation.
