EBM Papst Inc. presents the W1G200-EC series of energy saving axial fans. This addition to the ebm-papst product line is a versatile alternative to traditional axial fans that use shaded-pole motors for refrigeration applications. Just over three inches, W1G200-EC series fans have a much shorter installation depth than conventional fans with shadedpole motors. Retrofitting to larger openings is simple using an available sheet metal mounting adapter ring, which increases the outside diameter by 20% and whose shape can be modified by the end user to avoid areas of interference in the application. The electronically commutated motor is programmable for two selectable speedsteps, which can be adjusted in the field using a laptop PC to set the fan speeds that best meet the application requirements.
