What is CPM- D2 Steel?... CPM-D2 steel is high quality powder steel manufactured as a result of a complex technological process. The essence of steel manufacturing techniques is that the steel is formed in consequence of sintering the metal powder mass at a temperature below melting point of a metal. CMP-D2 steel perfectly keeps the cutting edge sharpening and has high cutting performance and is resistant to salt corrosion. High carbon (1.5%) and chromium content (12%), provides for high hardness of 60-62 HRC on the Rockwell scale. **All our knives are hand assembled, inspected, tested, oiled and prepared for you prior to shipment. Oil residue may be present and is normal.
