They support RS232 communication via a rear connector and can be remotely controlled using the SCPI (standard commands for programmable instruments) protocol. List and delayer functions are used to set up testing programs specifying current and voltage parameters, their duration, and a power-down command. Remote compensation maintains accurate testing by avoiding voltage drop on the load line. Remote Compensation The UDP6700 series provides remote compensation terminals on the rear of the power supply. Connect S+ and S- to the load. The UDP6700 will recognize the load voltage and compensate as appropriate.
