MIRALON Sheets and Tape are advanced carbon-based non-woven materials engineered to lightweight and enhance performance across diverse applications. These innovative products feature carbon nanotubes in a flexible sheet format with a 12 gram per square meter areal density and 20 micrometer thickness. Available in standard widths from 0.6 to 120 cm, they can be manufactured in any length using a proprietary seaming process. The material offers exceptional properties including electrical conductivity (600 S*cm2/g), thermal conductivity (30 W/m*K), and EMI shielding effectiveness (40 dB at 2 GHz). With an operating temperature range of -328°F to +392°F and processing capability up to 662°F, these sheets maintain performance in extreme conditions. Applications span honeycomb core structures, composites, EMI and ESD protection, ballistics, FIR heating solutions, wire and cable shielding, and mechanical damping. The material's high strength-to-weight ratio, chemical resistance, and flexibility make it ideal for post-processing including pre-pregging with resin systems or polymer infiltration using standard equipment. Custom areal densities between 6 and 30 gsm are available to meet specific requirements.
