Black Swan's Stay Soft Plumbers Putty is a special formulated ivory colored putty that can be used for setting toilet bowls, fixtures, faucets, strainers, basin cocks, sink frames, and many other sealing and caulking applications. The word stainless refers to how the oil in the putty bleeds from the putty when it comes into contact with other material. For example, the oil in an inexpensive putty will bleed easily and stain whatever surface it comes into contact with. Our high quality putty will hold the oil better and not cause a stain. Do not let putty come into contact with natural marble surface. Brush or spray marble area with clear acrylic lacquer. Allow to dry, than apply putty as noted above
