It is advised that you should replace the strings on your baglama every 3-4 months. Short String Baglamas use 0.18 mm strings while Long Neck Baglamas are better suited for 0.20 mm. There are three types of strings for baglamas: Pyramid-type, Chrome and Steel strings. The Yoremiz brand is a generic baglama string brand that is considered medium quality. It is made in Turkey and each pack contains 7 pyramid-type strings which are: 1 upper bam string in 0.5 mm thickness (white) and 1 lower bam string in 0.4 mm (also in white coating). 2 Strings of 0.28 mm thickness and 3 strings of 0.18 mm.
