A36 hot rolled steel is one of the most commonly used mild and hot rolled steels. Good welding, forming, & machining. A36 material is a low carbon steel, often referred to as mild steel which is long lasting and durable. Finish of these bars are rough surface with "scale" and slightly rounded edges and tolerances on size for hot rolled bars are much less strict than with cold rolled flat bars, but are a lower cost alternative when requirements for exact dimensions are not required.
