In this practical lab, students identify which of four potential donors could safely provide blood to a patient. They then analyze a case study of a mother and her children to determine the safety of her pregnancy. In both scenarios, artificial blood is used. Throughout the lab, students learn to recognize antigen-antibody reactions and understand how these reactions impact the body's immune response. They also learn the fundamentals of ABO and Rh blood typing.
