How It Works
The specific gravity cup is filled with a fixed volume of liquid sample and sealed with a lid. Excess material flows out through the center overflow hole, ensuring a precise volume without trapped air.
Any remaining air bubbles are minimized during sealing, which prevents measurement errors. The filled cup is then weighed, and the true density of the sample can be calculated based on the known volume of the cup.
This method provides high accuracy and excellent repeatability for density measurement.
