The Kuru Toga Wood mechanical pencil is the first model in the Kuru Toga series to feature a wooden grip, bringing together the natural warmth of real wood and the precision of a finely finished metal body in a refined, modern design. Its grip is made from genuine Wenge wood, known for its deep, distinctive dark grain with beautiful black streaks and a rich, natural feel. Because it is a natural material, each pencil has its own unique grain pattern and character, making every piece subtly different.
The grip gradually becomes thicker toward the tip, providing a comfortable, secure hold that feels stable in the hand even during long writing sessions.
The rear barrel is made from lightweight aluminum with a precisely blast-finished surface, giving it a clean, refined texture. Finished in a calm, subdued color that harmonizes with the wooden grip, it creates a balanced contrast between wood and metal in a slim, elegant form that looks as good as it feels.
Inside, the signature Kuru Toga mechanism rotates the lead as you write, keeping it consistently sharp for clean, even lines. A built-in nib damper helps reduce writing impact and minimizes tip movement, resulting in a smoother, more stable writing experience.
By combining a wooden grip carefully selected for its rich color and striking grain with an aluminum rear barrel finished with meticulous attention to its surface, the Kuru Toga Wood expresses both the refined quality of mixed materials and the unique character of natural wood—bringing together thoughtful design, tactile comfort, and precise performance in one sophisticated writing instrument.
