Historically Inspired Padded Medieval Surcoat
This padded medieval surcoat is based on historical wappenrocks worn from the 12th and 13th centuries. Such garments were used by knights and warriors to display heraldic colors, allegiance and rank during battle and ceremonial occasions.
Authentic Mi-Parti & Heraldic Design
The design follows historical originals and traditional European heraldry. Classic mi-parti color division and heraldic motifs such as fleur-de-lis, lions or cross patterns reflect authentic medieval symbolism as found in historical sources.
Padded & Fully Lined for Comfort
Made from durable 100% cotton canvas and fully lined, this surcoat offers improved structure and wearing comfort compared to unlined costume garments. The padding provides a solid drape and makes it suitable for long events.
Designed for Traditional Layering
Historically worn over gambeson, chainmail or tunic, this medieval surcoat features a straight-cut torso and a slightly flared skirt for freedom of movement while maintaining an authentic silhouette.
