Why is a clogged PCV fitting a critical risk?
When the fitting blocks, crankcase pressure has nowhere to go. This can cause:
Seal Failure — internal pressure forces oil past the rear main seal or valve cover gaskets.
Increased Oil Consumption — oil mist is pushed past piston rings and burned during combustion.
Intake Contamination — dirty vapors flow back into the intake and throttle body, causing deposits and reduced performance.
The Solution
Replacing the fitting is a standard, preventative maintenance step that can help avoid extensive engine repairs. This replacement is machined to factory-spec tolerances and made from reinforced, heat- and oil-resistant materials to resist corrosion and clogging.
