This VlaMiTex leather revolver holster is designed for classic medium-frame revolvers with a 4 inch (10 cm) barrel and K/L-frame style dimensions. It is intended as a practical, repeatable carry solution for range use, outdoor activities and everyday belt carry.
The holster body is pre-shaped to follow the revolver's frame, cylinder and barrel line, allowing the gun to sit deep and stable in the holster instead of shifting on a flat leather panel. A slightly closed throat guides the front of the frame into the holster, while the open muzzle allows the 4 inch (10 cm) barrel to be holstered and drawn without unnecessary friction at the muzzle.
Built as an OWB (Outside the Waistband) belt holster in flat pancake construction, the holster is worn outside the pants but rides close to the body. Two widely spaced belt slots pull the holster inward and reduce movement while walking, bending or changing position. The neutral carry angle supports consistent and repeatable draw motions.
Retention is provided by a fixed retention strap that runs over the rear of the frame. The snap button is positioned on the front, outer side of the holster, facing toward the muzzle. During the draw, the snap is released with the trigger/index finger of the shooting hand by moving the finger forward and opening the snap directly. This keeps the revolver securely retained while walking, sitting or bending, yet allows a controlled one-handed draw once the strap is released.
The holster is made from approx. 3.2 mm (0.13 inch) thick black drum-dyed cowhide. Edges are rounded and burnished, and stitching is tight and even to withstand continuous mechanical stress along the belt line. The leather is intentionally firm when new and will gradually break in, conforming more closely to the frame, cylinder and ejector shroud over time.
The horizontal belt slots are sized for belts up to 2 inches (5 cm) wide, making the holster compatible with common duty belts, reinforced range belts and sturdy everyday or outdoor belts. When properly worn, the pancake design spreads the weight of a loaded 4 inch (10 cm) revolver over a wider area, helping to reduce pressure points during extended wear.
