This Vision Scientific compound microscope has a 45° inclined monocular head that reduces neck and eye strain. It features a reverse nosepiece to facilitate easy slide changes. Three achromatic objectives are parcentered and parfocaled to ensure the image stays centered and focused during every magnification change, while also providing sharp, color-corrected images. The 40xR objective is retractable and spring-loaded to prevent damage to slides and objectives when focusing. An iris diaphragm controls the amount of light illuminating the specimen. Brightfield LED illumination illuminates the specimen from below, making the specimen appear bright, but much darker than the bright background. This allows the darker specimen to be contrasted by the surrounding bright viewing field.
