Our cylinder head gasket tester kit is a fast, non-destructive, and accurate troubleshooting tool that accurately determines if a cylinder head gasket is leaking by detecting the presence of combustion gases in the cooling system.
How to Use
1. Ensure the engine is completely cooled. Remove the radiator cap.
2. Insert the tester into the included plastic test sleeve until the marked position.
3. Insert the open end of the tester into the radiator opening. Squeeze the air bladder on the tester firmly to draw steam from the radiator opening. Observe the reaction between the liquid and steam in the tester.
4. With the engine idling, repeatedly squeeze and release the air bladder to draw in steam for approximately 1-2 minutes.
5. No color change: No combustion gases detected in the coolant, indicating the cylinder head gasket is normal. Color change: Combustion gases are present in the coolant, indicating a cylinder head gasket leak.
6. After testing, thoroughly rinse the tester with clean water and allow it to air dry before use.
Precautions
1. Please operate only after the engine has completely cooled down to ensure safety!
2. Before testing, please ensure that the engine oil and coolant levels are normal.
3. Please store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
