Contact with water: Not a great idea. It's unlikely to cause lasting damage, but make sure to dry it afterward.
Swimming Pool: Chlorine is harsh. If you forget to remove your jewelry before swimming, rinse and clean it afterward.
Contact with sweat: Body fluids may accelerate tarnishing and leave marks on the skin. Rinse and dry your jewelry after wear.
Lotions and perfumes can also cause silver to tarnish.
