How to Install the Dipstick Adapter Repair Kit Successfully?
Locate the dipstick adapter: Find the original dipstick adapter on the side of the oil pan.
Detach the original parts: Disassemble the dipstick adapter by taking off the original O-ring to avoid it getting stuck in the oil pickup and blocking the oil flow. Please note that the inner part of the dipstick adapter typically remains in the oil pan.
Install the new adapter: Insert the new machined aluminium adapter into the oil pan from the outside. The adapter usually comes with two O-ring seals. There is also an additional rear support brace that must be inserted through the oil pan opening and rotated into place.
Fix the adapter: Fix the support brace in place using the screws, ensuring it is securely fastened against the inner wall of the oil pan. This will compress the two O-rings, applying pressure to the outer wall of the oil pan and creating optimal sealing.
