This kit is designed for under the hood applications where no more than 10' seperate the two battieries. It is the perfect kit for accessory batteries in your car, boat, RV or whatever. Kit is perfect for the serious snow plow systems on pickups and work vehicles to make the link between the start battery and the battery bank used to operate your plow system. It utilizes the simplest and most advanced technology to keep all your batteries charged using the engine's electrical system but isolating the starting battery so you never get stranded. This unit is great for combining different types of batteries for the purpose of charging. It eliminates the possibility of averaging, or leveling that can occur when two different batteries are combined in parallel. All TRUE dual battery kits are assembled and designed to provide the most efficient use of a vehicles charging mechanism while still eliminating problems associated with parallel battery connections. There is no other kit available that features the fully adhesive sealed cables to avoid problematic corrosion. As always with TRUE isolators you don't have to reroute any alternator wires or connect to your ignition they are all automatic. The SBI also has Dual Sensing. If either battery is receiving a charge of 13.4 volts, e.g. a battery charger is connected to the auxiliary battery; the SBI will engage and charge both batteries.
