Battery condition is extremely important. No voltage regulator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.
There are two possible regulators for many models from 2001 to 2010. This regulator fits only fits the MANUAL start models (2-wire regulator). For the ELECTRIC start models, the right regulator is part RM30913 (3-wire regulator). Always check in the 'Fits models' section and please compare to your original part before buying.

There are two possible regulators for the 500 XC SP Edge / 600 XC SP Edge / 800 XC SP Edge models from 2003 to 2005. This regulator is a 2-wire AC regulator and has a connector. For the other regulator with no plug and 3 wires, the right part is RM30399. Always check in the 'Fits models' section and please compare to your original part before buying.
