وصف
This die-cast metal airplane model comes in 1/110 scale with a plastic stand and measures approximately 4 inches long with a 4-inch wingspan. This detailed replica authentically recreates the Australian-built Avon Sabre in its Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) colors. Recommended for adult collectors ages 14 and up. Based on the North American F-86 Sabre, the CAC (Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation) designed the CAC-27 Sabre specifically for the RAAF. Featuring a lighter-weight engine than its American counterpart, the CAC-27 required modifications to maintain proper center of gravity. The RAAF operated the CA-27 from 1954 to 1971. It was primarily used to counter communist insurgents during the Malayan Emergency. The aircraft continued to serve as an anti-communist deterrent, supporting the Thai and Laotian governments against insurgencies and aligning with the United States, South Vietnam, and Thailand during the Vietnam War.
