This Galton board is made of high-quality materials, ensuring long-lasting use. It's ideal for high school/college statistics and physics labs.
Name: Tabletop Galton Board
Material: Acrylic
Application: Tabletop
Instructions:
Turning the instrument upside down, pour all the balls into the V-shaped grooves, insert the inner liner, and then flip the instrument so the V-grooves face upward. Pull the inner liner to release the balls. Collisions with the array of nails will be randomly distributed, with nails equidistant on both sides and each horizontal position on the previous layer exactly between two nails on the next layer. When a ball contacts a nail during its fall, it has a 50% probability of falling to the left or right, then hitting the next nail, and so on, until it lands in the narrow groove on the baseboard. In this way, many balls of the same size will fall through the entrance. When the number of balls is large enough, they will accumulate on the baseboard, forming a pattern that approximates a normal density function (high in the middle, low at the ends, and low in the middle). This is a symmetrical antique clock, where N represents the number of layers of nails.
