This Ethernet Surge Protector PoE device is designed for Gigabit Ethernet compatibility. It provides robust surge protection for 1000Mbps high-speed networks, safeguarding your equipment without compromising network performance.
The Ethernet Surge Protector provides lightning protection for power supplies, control signals, BNC video signals, or RJ45 Ethernet connections. Featuring a low clamping voltage and rapid response, it mitigates and safeguards protected equipment from damage caused by induced lightning strikes or surge overvoltages traveling through power lines and signal cables.
Ethernet protectors typically incorporate multi-level protection circuits. When transient overvoltages occur on the line, the surge suppression components within the protector divert the high current generated by the overvoltage to ground, thereby limiting the voltage amplitude on the line and protecting downstream Ethernet equipment.
Connect the protector to the front end of the protected equipment, ensuring a secure connection. Connect the protector's grounding wire to the protective grounding busbar as short as possible. Pay attention to the input (IN) and output (OUT) markings on the protector to avoid reverse connection.
