CCM has produced new protective gear at the recreational level in 2023. The new CCM "Next" line is designed to be a reliable, durable and protective line of hockey gear at the recreational level. The Next line is built to be lightweight and keep players cool and dry on the ice, while still providing players with protection from impacts. The elbow pads feature a two-piece construction, compress-molded EVA foam, PE Caps with JDP Construction, and a simplified three-strap system. Construction The Next elbow pad has a two-piece construction. Its design is reliable and provides functional protection with a light feel which is ideal for recreational use at all ages. Forearm Protection The forearms are covered with compress-molded EVA foam with PE inserts to keep players protected. They have a sublimated lining with great lightweight protection around the forearms which keeps players dry and the gear lightweight while still providing protection from impacts. Elbow Cap The elbow caps are built with a PE cap and a JDP construction. The JDP construction is designed to disperse impact force away from the elbow joint while the comfort and fit are enhanced by the donut padding. Bicep Protection The articulated bicep is molded with a PE plastic insert which covers the bicep and provides players with protection and coverage from all impacts. The sublimated lining and slip-on elastic sleeve construction provide comfort and mobility, allowing players to move freely without feeling restricted. Strapping The CCM Next elbow pads feature a simplified three-strap system. This design keeps the elbow pad in place and allows players to tailor the fit to their needs while providing comfortability.
