Applications The anchor is made from carbon steel and is zinc plated. This anchor is designed for use in concrete, block and brick. Environment The anchor is designed to be used in a dry environment. Head Type The anchor is a hexagonal head and is designed to allow the head to sit above the surface of the element being fixed. Hole diameter/diameter bit. The anchor requires a 3/8" hole to be drilled into the base material (concrete of the building, and brick). The hole must be drilled with ANSI standard carbide tipped bit and used in a hammer drill. Anchor diameter anchor diameter is 3/8". Ankle length The anchor length is 3 inches minimum. Embedment. The minimum anchoring embedment in concrete is 1-1/4 inches. Therefore, the anchor element must be installed in such a way that a minimum of 1-1/4" of the anchor element is embedded in the concrete. Maximum thickness of the tap The maximum fixing thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being attached to an anchor point is 1-3/4". This will ensure that the minimum of 1-1 embedment/4" will be reached. Hole Diameter Fixture The hole in the fastener or fixed material must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor. The 3/8" diameter anchor requires the hole in the device to be 1/2". The spacing between anchors each peg should be spaced a minimum distance of 3-3/4" from the other when starting from the center. Distance Edge It is very important not to install the anchor closer than 1-7/8" to an unsupported edge of concrete.
