Choose the appropriate grit size based on the material and level of sanding desired. Coarse grits (40-80), medium grits (100-180), fine grits (220-400), ultra-fine grits (500-1200+). The larger the grits number of the sanding disc, the finer the grain size. Coarser grits remove material faster, while finer grits provide a smoother surface.
