ShimmeRite Passivol is an industry approved formulation for cleaning, rust removal and passivation of stainless-steel products (300 series, 17-4 & 17-7 PH) in 3-easy steps:

STEP 1: Clean stainless-steel article (Remove Oil / Grease / dirt) using a cleaner.
STEP 2: Spray, dip (the article), brush, ShimmeRite Passivol on the article liberally and let it sit for 20-30 minutes at room temperature i.e. >70F. If heavy rust needs to be removed, non-iron containing abrasive (Scotch Brite) or similar may be used halfway through the treatment.

Note 1: Article must remain moist and covered with ShimmeRite Passivol during the treatment period (10-30 min). Hence, periodically spray / apply ShimmeRite Passivol onto the article to keep it from drying.
Note 2: ShimmeRite Passivol can also be applied with brush or dip methods.

STEP 3: Rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water and air / blow dry.
STEP 4: (Optional) Spray ShimmeRite Neutralizer post water rinse and before air-dry (step 3). Neutralizer offers neutral surface and prevents salt deposits from appearing on stainless steel surface.

RESULT: A passive surface is obtained. Repeat Steps 1-3 to achieve desired results.

STORAGE: Store the product in a dry place between 50°F and 120°F.
