The sensor works well in typical conditions and is rarely affected by cleaner vapors. However, it is sensitive to temperature changes, as resistance increases with heat. Users should account for this in water heater system design to minimize false positives. Flammable vapor sensor film: Capable of quickly reacting to gasoline vapors in the surrounding air of the water heater, causing a change in resistance based on the vapor concentration.

Quick response: Upon detecting a leak, it quickly triggers the control module to shut off the gas supply to the water heater and prevent ignition, reducing safety risks.
No external power required: It relies solely on the small amount of power provided by the control circuit to read the sensor's resistance changes and perform subsequent processing.
Fixing the water heater issue: After replacing the sensor, the water heater quickly started working again and hot water was restored.

How the Product Works:
The sensor film is made of a proprietary mixture of silicone and carbon. When the sensor film comes into contact with gasoline vapor leaking into the air, it reacts, causing an increase in the sensor's resistance. The sensor transmits the signal of the resistance change to the gas valve control module, which then prevents the gas supply and burner ignition of the gas water heater.
Typically, the sensor will reset after exposure to flammable vapor. However, since it's impossible to verify whether the sensor's resistance change after initial contact with flammable vapor is sufficient to ensure the water heater continues to operate normally, we recommend replacing the sensor after exposure to flammable vapor. After replacement, the sensor's resistance will return to the proper range, ensuring the water heater starts up correctly and restores its ability to detect flammable vapors.
