Remark: Engines with AFM use a special camshaft, a high-volume oil pump, and a pressure relief valve in the oil pan. AFM lifters fail when feed oil to the lifter is low or mistimed. Manufacturer has released an updated VLOM (Valve Lifter Oil Manifold) # 12571609 to help address this problem. Install new VLOM is highly recommended. Anything that affects oil pressure to the AFM lifters will cause AFM lifter failures: includes failed oil pump, restricted oil pickup, leaking cam retainer plate or anything that reduces oil flow to the VLOM. Oil pressure alone is not a good indicator. Tuning your ECM is required to turn off AFM/DOD. There are two different designs on the intake manifold gasket for the 6.2L engine. 1st design has intake manifold with cathedral ports. 2nd design has intake manifold with rectangular port. The intake manifold gasket in this listing has 1st design cathedral port. Please double check your engine manifold before making the purchase.
