The Flex-a-lite spacer adapter will convert the diameter of the hub pilot to a standard 5/8" pilot and will provide the required spacing from the radiator. Whenever you remove an original equipment fan clutch from your engine, you need to add a spacer to bring your new fan back into the "sweet spot" in the fan shroud opening.
