World War III Team Yankee: American AAVP7 Platoon

The AAVP7 (Assault Amphibious Vehicle, Personnel Mark 7) is a fully tracked amphibious landing vehicle used by the assault amphibian battalions to land the infantry assault elements and equipment during amphibious operation. They can also conduct mechanized operations ashore.

The AAVP7 with their boat shaped hulls take their cargo ashore, capable of speeds in the water of 8 miles per hour propelled by a pair water jets in the rear of the craft.

The AAVP7 was upgraded to the AAVP7A1 to mount a turret armed with an M2 .50 cal heavy machine gun, and a 40mm Mk19 grenade launcher. It has a crew of four and can carry up to 25 combat equipped Marines, allowing two vehicles to carry one Marine Rifle Platoon.
