Principle of signal isolator
The working principle of the signal isolator is mainly to realize the signal isolation by using the linear optocoupling isolation principle. Linear optocoupler is a kind of optical coupling device used for analog signal isolation. It has two optical acceptance circuits, which can offset the nonlinearity of the direct path through the nonlinearity of the feedback path, so as to achieve the purpose of linear isolation, and play the role of isolating the current and reducing the impact of environmental interference on the test circuit.
In the specific work, the signal isolator will first transform the signal of the transmitter or instrument through the semiconductor device, and then through the optical or magnetic sensing device for isolation conversion, and then demodulation transformation back to the signal before isolation, while isolating the power supply of the isolated signal, so that the transformed signal, the power supply, the ground is absolutely independent, there will be no other impact.
Advantages of signal isolators
1. Protect the normal transmission of the signal: the signal isolator can protect the normal transmission of the signal and convert the signal into a resistance signal to protect the operation of the signal. It can protect the control loop at the lower level, reduce the impact of environmental noise on the test circuit, and effectively control the interference of common grounding and inverter working parts to the equipment.
2. Avoid conflicts between power supplies: in industrial production, mechanical equipment needs to work in an environment with power supplies, and more power supplies often cause conflicts, which may affect the normal work of the equipment, and the use of signal isolators can effectively solve this problem.
