Signs You Need A New Waveguide Cover
If your microwave produces sparks or electric arcing during operation, remove the original waveguide sheet for inspection. Replace the sheet once it turns dark brown or black, or develops cracks and holes.
Simple DIY Cutting & Installation Steps
Remove the old waveguide cover and lay it flat on the new mica sheet as a template
Mark the edge outline with a sharp craft knife
Cut straight edges with sharp scissors, then trim rounded corners Drill matching screw holes if your original cover has mounting slots
Mount the new mica sheet into the waveguide position to complete replacement
