Routing makes more dust than almost anything else in the shop, and most of it comes off the bit and goes straight down into the cabinet under your table. The JessEm 05151 Dual Intake Dust Box turns that cabinet into a sealed collection chamber. Built in North America from 18-gauge steel and finished in a black satin textured powder coat, the box mounts under your JessEm router table and encloses the motor completely. Two ports at the rear give you options: run a 4 inch hose to a full dust collector for production work, or a 2.5 inch line to a shop vacuum for a smaller shop. Either way the dust leaves through the hose instead of settling on every flat surface you own. The dual intake design is what separates this from a plain enclosure. Sealing a router motor inside a box solves your dust problem and creates a cooling problem. JessEm's answer is a set of removable air intake covers that work with the Pow-R-Tek SR motor's fresh-air intake system. Add the optional Hose Adapter Kit and the motor draws clean, cool air from outside the box rather than recirculating the dust it just made. Better cooling, cleaner internals, longer service life. Access was clearly designed by someone who has had to pull a router motor at 9pm. The left side panel comes off so you can install, remove or service the motor without unbolting the box or disassembling your lift. The front door is hinged with a magnetic catch. A grommeted rear port keeps cords tidy. There is even a dedicated port for the Mast-R-Lift Excel II handle. Fits JessEm router table systems including the Mast-R-Lift Excel II.
