This comprehensive combo brings together three essential Bambu Lab components to upgrade, expand, and power your AMS system – all in one convenient package. Located on the back of the printer, the Filament Buffer connects the AMS to the toolhead extruder. It uses a slider, spring, and Hall sensor to detect filament tension. When the AMS pushes filament toward the extruder, filament pressure moves the slider forward. The Hall sensor detects the slider's position and sends feedback to the AMS and printer, regulating feeding speed to keep filament tension within the designed range. The AMS Hub takes this further – it combines a filament selection module (4 inlets for 4 separate AMS units, each with a Hall sensor) and a buffer module (identical to the standard Filament Buffer). This means you can expand from 1 to 4 AMS units while maintaining the same reliable buffering performance.
