Duragard All-Season Synthetic Blend TO4 10w30 Fluid is an advanced technology product designed to maximize performance of off-highway transmissions, hydraulic systems, and drive systems without the compromises inherent in single grade oils formerly used for these applications. This lubricant is formulated with select Hydro cracked clear base oils and Synthetic Base Fluids. The proprietary formulation provides outstanding oxidation stability, improved elastomer compatibility, corrosion and rust control, outstanding shear stability, and excellent high-temperature film strength. This advanced Synthetic blend lubricant has low-temperature pumpability and a low pour point impossible to match with conventional TO-4 10W or 30 weight fluids. This fluid allows consolidation to a single product eliminating misapplication.
Duragard All-Season Synthetic Blend TO4 10w30 Fluid exceeds specifications typical of Caterpillar's most current TO-4 requirements which cannot be satisfied by current engine oil technology. The current specification supersedes and replaces Caterpillar TO-2 requirements which have been in place since 1977. Whereas Cat TO-2 measured friction retention in bronze clutches only, Cat TO-4 meets strict friction requirements for bronze, as well as two elastomer and three paper type disc materials. This provides significantly extended clutch life and superior transmission slippage control, even during high-load operation on a highly inclined slope at extreme temperatures. The technology provides an optimum balance between static and dynamic friction in a variety of clutch materials used in powershift transmission and drive train clutches, steering clutches, and wet brakes. It also minimizes slip & chatter in oil-cooled disc brakes. These qualities provide the durability necessary for extended service intervals in severely varied outdoor environments.
