Needle roller bearings are rolling bearings with low radial cross-section height and high load-bearing capacity. They are used as floating bearings and are part of the radial needle roller bearing group. These bearings include machined outer rings needle roller and cage assemblies and removable inner rings i.e. they can be used with or without an inner ring depending on the application. Unlike the outer ring of a drawn cup needle roller bearing which is produced by the forming method the bearing ring is machined. Due to its floating bearing function the bearing cannot guide the shaft axially in any direction.
