This material is easier to compress and minimizes creep and cold flow. SSS 24Sh expanded PTFE supplied by Sterling Seal & Supply Complies to FDA regulations for food contact and EU 1935/2004. Virgin PTFE sheet can handle virtually all chemicals in the 0-14 pH range with the exception of molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine. It is suitable for service at temperatures from -450 Degrees Fahrenheit up to 500 Degrees Fahrenheit. Pressure vacuum up to 2900psi (200bar). SSS 24Sh expanded PTFE is particularly recommended for applications in the food and beverage industry where high purity materials are required. It is also used where contamination or discoloration of flow media cannot be tolerated.
