The grounding pad is easy to set up. Connect the grounding cord to the mat, then plug it into the grounding port of a properly grounded outlet.
The following testing method is optional and provided for reference only.
Step 1: Prepare the grounding mat, connection cord, and a multimeter (not included).
Step 2: Set the multimeter to a range above 200 kilo-ohms. This step is important, as an incorrect setting may result in an inaccurate reading.
Step 3: Measure the resistance of the grounding cord. A reading around 100 kilo-ohms indicates normal conductivity.
Step 4: Snap the connection cord onto the metal stud on the mat. Then connect one end of the multimeter to the plug of the cord and the other end to the smooth side of the grounding mat. If the multimeter shows a valid reading, it indicates that the conductivity of the mat is normal.
