DRAWN CUP Roller Clutches
Overview: Drawn cup needle roller clutches are similar to drawn cup needle roller bearings in design; however, they allow free rotation in only one direction while transmitting torque in the opposite direction. These designs use the same small radial section as drawn cup needle roller bearings and are offered as clutch-only units or as clutch and bearing assemblies.
Markets: Office equipment, paper-towel dispensers, exercise equipment, appliances and two-speed gearboxes.
Features: Compact, lightweight and operate directly on a hardened shaft.
Benefits: Installation is easily accomplished with a simple press fit.
Drawn Cup Needle Roller Clutch Assembly
The drawn cup needle roller clutch is the overriding clutch (one-way clutch), composed of the outer ring punched with the high-quality steel sheet, plastic retainer, spring and needles, used for transferring one-way torque.
The drawn cup needle roller clutch has not the load carrying feature by itself. However it can play the action in combination with Model HK and BK drawn cup needle roller bearing.
The drawn cup needle roller clutch is the block bearing either withstanding the radial load or transferring torque.
Features:
Needle bearings are roller bearings with cylindrical rollers. The advantages of needle roller bearings are small radial cross-sectional dimensions and high radial loads. Suitable for use in restricted installation spaces.
Steel cage guides and evenly spaced rollers reduce friction, vibration and noise. Heat resistant and durable under heavy loads.
